Respiratory Clinics
The Stone Mountain Health Services Black Lung Program and Respiratory Care Clinics (located in St. Charles and Oakwood) provide comprehensive services through Lee, Wise, Scott, Dickerson, Russell, Buchanan, Tazewell, Washington counties of Southwest Virginia and the surrounding states of West Virginia, Tennessee and Kentucky. Our program continues to develop and provide a holistic approach of service delivery to coal miners, (active / inactive / retired / disabled) who suffer from occupationally acquired respiratory impairments, as well as to those patients who suffer from other respiratory impairments.

  • Benefits Counseling and Lay Advocacy Support, a benefit which extends to widows of miners as well.

Stone Mountain Health Services Benefits Counseling and Lay Advocacy Component have proven to be and is still one of the leading resources in the nation in securing Federal Black Lung Benefits for coal miners and their widows.

Our Black Lung Staff continues to work collaboratively with each patient primary health care provider to ensure that medical treatment is on-going and meeting the patient needs. Those patients without a primary care physician will be refer to a physician of their choice or a Stone Mountain Health Service Provider.
